Advanced Performance to Advance Your Game The Titleist AP2 712 irons are a multi-material iron designed for the serious mid to low handicap golfer. The AP2 712 irons have a more square profile than before, a feature specifically requested by Titleist's Tour players. A forged carbon steel head is aided by a high-density tungsten weight, creating increased playability. Titleist wanted to improve distance control and achieve a more consistent ball speed with the 712 AP2 irons. This was done by increasing the MOI by 7%, without impacting workability or control. A dual cavity design pushes weight to the perimeter for playability without losing the ability to shape shots. The Tuned Feel System is a co-molded medallion of soft elastomer and aluminium plate. This tuned cavity insert has been specifically designed to improve the sound and feel of the AP2 irons. Titleist also improved the control and turf interaction by reducing the sole bounce and adding a smaller sole width on the 8-iron, 9-iron and PW. The small progressive offset design in the Titleist 712 AP2s is designed for improved shot control throughout the set. Titleist AP2 712 Forged Irons Features: Increased Playability- Through an advanced technology, multi-material, forged carbon steel body and high density tungsten weight design. Consistent Ball Speed- Improved distance control on miss-hits from a 7% increase in MOI with no loss of workability. Improved Solid Feel- Increased MOI and the tuned feel cavity insert. Precise Short Irons- With reduced sole width for improved turf performance. Improved Appearance- A new squarer profile. Superior Shot Control- Small progressive offset and traditional constant blade length. True Temper Dynamic Golf Shafts- Dynamic Gold is a heavy-weight steel shaft with a high flex point that produces a lower, penetrating trajectory with lower spin for control. This shaft is ideal for strong, high ball speed players seeking greater weight feedback with lower launch and spin.
