Instead, they wanted to develop a game-improvement iron that would outperform everything else on the market not only in terms of performance, but in looks as well. The JPX-800 signals the end of the popular MX-line up of Mizuno irons and replaces the MX-1000 iron. The JPX-800 is is a mid-size head which appears even more compact and versatile than it is thanks to a triple-cut sole design which sees the leading a trailing edge beveled and the mid sole cambered. The new iron features the hottest face (highest COR - spring-like effect) of any iron in the company's history while also being the most forgiving. This is achieved thanks to a thinner, more uniform iron face to reach the maximum allowed limits for ebergy transfer.
