Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl Irons... Tighten Your Gaps & Lower Your Scores

The Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl irons bring Cleveland's successful wedge technology to their irons. The CG16s are designed to be lighter: overall club weight has been reduced 25 grams, longer: increased shaft lengths, and stronger: strengthened lofts.

The Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl irons also now mark the loft on the sole of the club. This offers players the ability to use gap-fitting to match their irons, and wedges, to their own specific game. The large cavity in the back of the clubheads positions the centre of gravity 10% lower and 75% deeper, producing higher and more forgiving shots.

The Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl irons now use the 'zip groove' and 'laser-milled' technology previously used on Cleveland wedges, to increase club-to-ball friction and increase spin. This technology creates the maximum conforming dimensions within each groove whilst adding four additional laser-milled texture lines between each groove.

The CG16™ irons are designed with a lighter overall club weight and longer club length for maximum distance. The large cavity back, with its full undercut, stretches the center of gravity low and deep to optimize launch angle and significantly improve forgiveness. The large, thin face allows for increased COR and maximum ball speed that will produce distance that competes with any iron set in the market – but with increased control.
